Some seriously talented folks call Tifton home, and we’re bringing them to the Arts Affair stage! From jazz to theatre and beyond, these local performers are ready to entertain, impress, and show us just how much talent we have right here in our own community.
This year we are excited to welcome the following groups and individuals to the Main Stage:
Sanam Studios Dance Company
Sanam Studios is an internationally recognized professional dance troupe known for its authentic performances of regional Pakistani folk dances. Their repertoire includes dances from across Pakistan, with traditional costumes sourced directly from the regions they represent. The troupe has performed at festivals, universities, diplomatic events, and stages across the United States and abroad, and in 2023 was invited to represent Pakistan at the World Congress of Dance Research in Athens, Greece.
Cousin Dave Davis and his Wacky Home-made Instruments
Davy “Cousin Dave” Davis is a lifelong musician and longtime Tifton music shop owner with a knack for turning the unexpected into instruments! From cigar boxes and waffle irons to baseball bats and axes, his one-of-a-kind creations have traveled around the world and landed in the hands of music legends like Peter Frampton and Peter Tork of The Monkees. Come see what happens when musical talent meets a wonderfully unconventional imagination!
The ABAC Jazz Band
Relax outdoors with the ABAC Jazz Combo! This all-student ensemble, directed by Dr. Andre Acevedo on keyboards, performs jazz standards, Latin Jazz, Jazz takes on country favorites, and beautiful ballads featuring student soloists.
Kezia Larry and the Tift Theatre Singers
Our friends at the Tift Theater, led by Kezia Larry, will be performing a selection of generational favorites, soul, and family friendly tunes.
Reagan Funk & Micah Johnson
Soft rock/blues duo, Reagan Funk on lead guitar and Micah Johnson, vocals and rhythm, will be playing some originals and some classic covers.
Joy Johnson
A songwriter and instrumentalist from South Georgia, Joy Johnson is inspired by folk, rock, and blues. For the Arts Affair, she’ll be performing a selection of well-known covers and beloved favorites.
