A Guide to Block Printing Techniques and Supplies — Linocut Artist | Boarding All RowsCreated with the YMCA Father–Daughter Dance in mind, this special class offers a meaningful alternative for family members who may not be able to attend the dance but still want to share a memorable evening together. This experience is designed to give parents and children a fun, creative way to connect on the same night. Create, carve, and print together, working side by side to design and create a beautiful radial symmetry print.

Participants will sketch, carve, and print their own designs while experimenting with color, texture, and repetition. With guidance from the instructor, families will learn printmaking basics in an approachable way, then bring their artwork to life using vibrant inks and layered backgrounds. The process is playful, creative, and designed for all skill levels—no prior experience needed.

Dinner will be provided, creating a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where families can connect, create, and make memories together.
