Tifton Arts Alliance

The Tifton Arts Alliance, formerly the Tifton Council for the Arts Guild, was formed in 2003 to support and enhance the efforts of the Tifton Museum of Arts and Heritage (now known as the Syd Blackmarr Arts Center). The Tifton Arts Alliance is a volunteer organization that serves as docents for the various exhibits sponsored by the arts council each year and organizes the receptions for the exhibit openings. The TAA is the primary fundraising “arm” of the arts council, and works with and reports to the Board of Directors.

Currently the Tifton Arts Alliance boasts approximately 50 members. These members are friends of the Tifton Council for the Arts from our community, who enjoy and appreciate and value the arts. Membership in the TAA is free. Meetings are held quarterly, or on an as needed basis according to exhibits and events schedules.

TAA members assist with many volunteer activities including fundraising, kids art classes, receptions, Arts Affair festival planning, exhibits, and our annual gala.
