Thinking about showing your work for the first time? Learn what it takes to get your art exhibit-ready—from framing and matting to pricing and presentation. We’ll cover what to expect when preparing for a show, why gallery guidelines matter, and what’s unique about exhibiting at The Syd.

You’ll get hands-on help with matting, advice on pricing, and tips on finding local resources like framers and artist support. Bring your work and your own matte and/or frame and any tools you’ll need—we’ll provide the hanging hardware.

Leave ready to show your work with confidence—and know exactly what to expect when your art goes up on the wall.

Participants will learn the basics of preparing work for exhibition. Topics include: Custom matting, Exhibition requirements, pricing work, Expense expectations, and support resources available to artists.
