Tifton Council for the Arts (TCA) offers hands-on internship opportunities for students interested in the arts, nonprofit management, marketing, community development, events, and related fields.
Interns work directly with TCA staff and gain real-world experience supporting exhibitions, programs, events, community initiatives, and daily nonprofit operations.
Internship Areas
Arts & Exhibitions
- Assist with exhibit installation, artist communication, and exhibition preparation
- Help coordinate artist calls, artwork records, and exhibit events
Marketing & Communications
- Create social media content and promotional materials
- Assist with website, email, and SMS marketing
- Photograph and document events and programs
Community Development & Outreach (Kids Focus)
- Assist with community programs and partnerships
- Research community needs, arts initiatives, and potential partners
- Support outreach to schools, businesses, and community organizations
Administration & Nonprofit Operations
- Assist with data entry, records, scheduling, and general office tasks
- Support program registration and participant communication
- Assist with special projects and nonprofit research
Events & Programming
- Assist with planning and executing classes, exhibitions, fundraisers, and special events
- Support event setup, registration, volunteers, artists, and vendors
Fundraising & Development
- Research sponsors, grants, and funding opportunities
What You’ll Gain
Interns will gain practical experience in nonprofit operations, event planning, arts administration, marketing, community engagement, fundraising, and more. Opportunities can also be tailored to a student’s major, interests, and required internship hours.
Ideal Candidates
- Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude and are organized, flexible, reliable, creative, professional, and interested in serving their community. Previous arts experience is not required.
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs
- Team Oriented
- Darkness to Light training required upon hiring
- Background check required
Internships may be available for academic credit and can be customized based on the student’s program requirements.
