Who said you had to stop playing just because you grew up?! Students will create their own unique painting with lessons on therapeutic techniques and learning to play with materials. Discover the art of play! Develop your own creative skill set. Get messy, make mistakes, and have fun! Use sculpture paste and acrylic paints to bring your artwork alive with 3D painting.
Students will learn different techniques to help the creative process flow. Tips and tricks on using sculpture paste with acrylic paints will be demonstrated. Basics in color theory will be discussed to help students visualize the differences and similarities between colors when using texture paste and acrylic paints. Different therapeutic techniques will be demonstrated and discussed for everyday use and for use during the creative process.
This month’s project is a piece dedicated to autism awareness!
All materials will be supplied by instructor.
Students will have a chance to win a one of a kind handmade earring set or keychain by adding their name in a drawing at the end of class. The student must be present to win.
