Outreach Team Job Opening

We’re looking for friendly, community-focused individuals to support TCA staff at outreach events and help create welcoming, engaging experiences for the public. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with kids, thrives in a team environment, and has an interest in the arts and community engagement. Outreach team members should be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods, able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs, and have reliable transportation. This is a flexible, contract-based position ($10/hour) that may include evenings and weekends. A background check is required; experience in education, childcare, or arts instruction is preferred.

Job Description

Outreach Representation

• Serve as a friendly, professional representative of TCA at community events
• Engage positively with families, children, and event partners
• Help maintain a safe and inclusive environment

Independent & Team-Based Work

• Work alongside staff during larger events
• Occasionally lead outreach activities independently following provided guidelines
• Communicate clearly with staff before and after events

Program Support & Facilitation

• Assist with or lead hands-on arts and crafts activities for children of varying ages
• Create a welcoming, engaging environment that encourages participation
• Provide clear, simple instructions and hands-on help during activities
• Adjust activities in real time based on group size, age, or engagement

Event Setup & Breakdown

• Assist with transporting, setting up, and organizing materials
• Ensure activity areas are clean, safe, and ready for participants
• Handle cleanup and packing after events

General Support

• Assist with light administrative or prep tasks when needed
• Provide feedback on what worked well and what could improve
• May be asked to organize supplies between events
