Sometimes, the most powerful stories are the ones we don’t plan to tell. ”CANDID MOMENTS: Picture This!” celebrates the unscripted — photos that capture honest, fleeting, and unfiltered moments of life. Whether it’s the perfect imperfection of everyday scenes or the raw emotion of a spontaneous event, we invite photographers of all levels to submit work that reflects the beauty of the unexpected.

📸 About the Exhibition

Sometimes, the most powerful stories are the ones we don’t plan to tell.” CANDID MOMENTS: Picture This!” celebrates the unscripted — photos that capture honest, fleeting, and unfiltered moments of life. Whether it’s the perfect imperfection of everyday scenes or the raw emotion of a spontaneous event, we invite photographers of all levels to submit work that reflects the beauty of the unexpected.

👥 Who Can Enter?

We welcome entries from photographers in the following divisions:

  • Youth (Ages 12–17)
  • Amateur (Age 18+) – Hobbyist, self-taught, or emerging artists
  • Professional (Age 18+) – Individuals with formal training, paid work, or extensive exhibition history

  • Submission Deadline: Friday, June 13, 2025

Each artist may submit up to three original photographs for consideration. All submitted images must have been taken within the last three years and should align with the spirit of the exhibition — candid, authentic moments that tell a story or evoke emotion.

Please note: any, all, or none of your submitted works may be selected for exhibition. Artists will be notified of the jury’s selections whether they have one, two, or all three pieces accepted.

📂 Submitting Your Work (Digital Entry Only)

  • File formats accepted: JPG, PNG, or PDF
  • Resolution: 300 dpi
  • Submit through the online form linked above
  • No physical prints are required unless your work is selected for exhibition

🧑‍⚖️ Jury & Judging

All entries will be juried by a guest juror. Selections will be made based on:

  • Authenticity & Candidness – Does the image feel spontaneous and sincere?
  • Visual Impact – Emotion, composition, subject matter, and clarity
  • Artistic & Technical Quality – Creative choices and craftsmanship
  • Connection to Theme – How well does the photo reflect candid storytelling?

Youth entries will be juried with encouragement in mind — we want to support and nurture developing talent!

A separate awards judge, Steve Heddon, will select winners in each division once the exhibit is installed.
