Plein Air Workshop

Join Cris Lawson for her Plein Air Workshop where she will guide you through the experience of painting in the open air.

         9:00 am until 5:00 pm
        *Lunch provided.
Rain or shine: covered venue

LOCATION:
Knotted Pines Stables, 72 Stripling Jones Rd. Chula, GA

COST:
         Audit Demo Only (includes lunch):    $50
Auditors are welcome to stay the entire day and enjoy the venue, but are asked to refrain from disturbing the artists at work
         Demo and En Plein Air Workshop:     $125.00

Workshop Schedule: 

9:00 am – 11:00 am    Demonstration of painting en plein air: supplies, methods, techniques
11:00 am – 12:00 pm  Lunch
12:00 pm – 4:00 pm    Artists select a subject from the Stable and Grounds including the barns, arena, horse pastures, & pond. Riders will be on horseback, grooming, etc. as subjects as well.  Paint en plein air in choice of medium.  Moderator will coach, offer suggestions and guidance.
4:00 pm – 5:00 pm     Artists share works and discuss,  Q&A session
 
Supplies:  BYO chair, sun protection, hat recommended, bug spray (auditors and artists), Easel, medium of choice, brushes, solvent, canvas/paper, paper towels/rags (artists)
 
Provided: bottled water, boxed lunch, sodas, tea, coffee, snacks
