Master Your Palette: A Color Mixing Workshop

with instructor Leslie Larson

Join artist Leslie Larson for an extensive and informative workshop where she will cover the fundamentals of color theory and guide participants through the color mixing process.

Students will be given the opportunity to explore the nuances of color and learn to mix up a paint palette under the direction of an artist with years of experience in color mixing.

The workshop will include instructional tips, hands on exercises, and opportunities for creative exploration.

Leslie will also demonstrate how to mix various hues using a limited palette.

Participants will be given the chance to apply the techniques discussed and will create either abstract or landscape projects using the colors they mix themselves.

Color experimentation is encouraged during this workshop.

Use of all color mixing supplies will be provided in the cost of the workshop. Leslie will also provide light refreshments for the event.

*Participants should bring a notebook or sketchpad, a pencil, and a photo reference that includes several colors (We will mix up the colors during the workshop and use them for an abstract piece).

Attendees will learn color mixing techniques, how to use a palette knife, color terminology/color theory, paint application and manipulation.
