The Tifton Council for the Arts is seeking artists/instructors to work with children, teens, and adults in an expanding arts education program. All media are welcome. Unique approaches and techniques are encouraged. Classes may be taught on a weekly or monthly basis, or may be offered as one time workshops over one or multiple days.
Classes and workshops may be proposed for summer, fall, and spring sessions. Mommy and Me preschool/toddler classes may be taught Tuesday – Thursday mornings, or on weekends. Youth and teen classes will be scheduled after school hours Monday – Thursday, on weekends, and a variety of available hours during the summer. Adult classes may be taught on Tues-Thursday mornings, evenings, and on weekends. All art classes must be scheduled around our existing exhibit and rental calendars.
The arts council is specifically looking for artists/teachers who can teaching the following classes:
- Preschool (ages 2-5) music classes one morning per week.
- Saturday morning workshops for children
- Classes for teens
- Photography
- Graphic Design
- Sip and Paint
- Yoga
- Poetry or writing
- Open Studio: serious artists may bring current work and seek additional instruction
